Today we went to Como House for an excursion on past and present. We saw the Como mansion, played olden day games, went on a clue hunt and even got to be servants!!! We had a really fun day at Como House. Here are some photos!!
Today a guest came to our school. She was dressed from the 1870’s and was pretending to be Mrs Sargood.
She told us about her 11 children and the 35 servants she had to cook, clean
and wash for her. She then gave us ink and a quill pen to practice handwriting
skills. She showed us the school bell and the cane and talked about how naughty
children would get the cane on their hands. We enjoyed learning about Mrs Sargood and life in the 1870’s.
We are so excited to have five butterflies in our classroom!
We are so excited to have our first butterfly. It is big, colourful and beautiful!
Yesterday we saw our first darkling beetle. Peter’s pupa had turned into a beetle
We were so excited!
It was a light brown colour. Today it is getting darker and soon it will be a dark brown/black colour.
